Martin Audio has appointed Istanbul-based Republik Pro AVL as its new distributor in Turkey, effective immediately.
Founded earlier this year, Republik Pro AVL aims to reintroduce a genuine, brand-focused distribution model to the Turkish professional audio market. Co-founder Kemal “Kal” Yener explains the company’s vision:
“Our goal is to bring back a truly brand-driven distribution approach to the Turkish professional audio market.”
He continues: “We operate solely as a distributor — we have no integration arm — so our partners know we are not competing with them on projects.”
Republik Pro AVL already represents several high-end professional audio brands, with Martin Audio becoming the latest addition to its growing portfolio. The partnership is built on Kal Yener’s long-standing relationship with David McKinney of Singapore-based Generation AV.
“I admired the direction Generation AV was taking together with the Focusrite team. We also had highly productive discussions with the Martin Audio team, particularly Andy Duffield and Bradley Watson. Their clear and fast communication made the process extremely smooth. Built on mutual trust, everything developed naturally.”
Yener acknowledges Martin Audio’s long-standing heritage and global reputation, while also noting that the brand has not always been represented to its full potential in Turkey:
“Engineers understood the sound, but inconsistent distribution meant limited stock and support. We see a significant opportunity to rebuild that trust, and Martin Audio’s broad product range aligns perfectly with our plans. Our existing portfolio complements Martin Audio across both installation and live sound, allowing us to deliver complete solutions from microphone to loudspeaker.”
According to Yener, Turkey’s live events market has rebounded strongly in the post-COVID period, and Martin Audio offers solutions for every application:
“Festivals and municipal concerts are once again thriving. Bars, beach clubs, and rooftop venues are demanding premium sound systems; the hospitality sector is growing rapidly. Corporate installations remain stable, while theatres are receiving new budgets. Of course, Turkey faces political and economic fluctuations, currency volatility, and changing import regulations — but demand for high-quality sound systems continues to rise.”
In a short time, Republik Pro AVL has taken significant steps forward. Engineering and technical teams have completed training at the Martin Audio factory in High Wycombe and are currently undergoing online certification for DISPLAY 3, VU-NET, and iKON amplifiers. The company is also transitioning all operations to a modern digital infrastructure, including an ERP-connected B2B portal providing real-time stock and pricing information, a strong demo inventory, training programs, and comprehensive after-sales support — all aimed at raising standards for integrators and rental companies.
As part of this strategy, Republik Pro AVL will deliver focused training programs, build a strong social media presence, and launch a B2B e-commerce platform to simplify ordering and support processes.
Commenting on the appointment, Kemal Yener said:
“Bringing Martin Audio back to full strength in Turkey is both a great responsibility and a privilege. We are building a truly independent, service-driven distribution model, and I am excited for audiences across Turkey to once again experience the unmistakable Martin Audio sound.”
Andy Duffield, EMEA Regional Account Manager at Martin Audio, added:
“Republik Pro AVL brings a fresh perspective to professional audio distribution in Turkey. Their commitment to a pure distribution model across all vertical markets — from live touring and events to fixed installations, infrastructure projects, and smaller-scale applications — along with their broad market vision and determination to elevate Martin Audio’s strongest-ever product portfolio, truly impressed me. I very much look forward to working with Kal and his team, and I am confident we will achieve great success for the brand in Turkey.”
